Switch Hospitality Management are delighted to announce that their Group Director of Sales, Ryan Doyle has been appointed as a director onto the beam board responsible for venue engagement & membership in a year that sees the 25th anniversary of the association and its refreshed and repositioned identity.
beam, the trade association for the business events, accommodation, and meetings industry, has doubled the size of its board from 6to 12 directors to strengthen its structure and fulfil an exciting and ambitious new strategy which follows the recent re-imagination of the organisation, previously known as HBAA.
Ryan is one of six new directors that has been appointed to support the association’s new broader membership and focus.
beam is recognised as the leading association for the business events, accommodation and meetings sector, representing business leaders and their companies in an industry worth more than £70bn* annually in the UK alone.
Membership of beam is acknowledged as a hallmark of quality assurance through out the meetings, events and travel industries. As the industry recovers beam will support its members in developing a brighter future together through a membership of over 70 agencies and 150 hotels, venues and serviced apartment operators.

Throughout his sales career Ryan has been an engaged member of beam launching the Next Gen shadow board which involved raising the profile of the association and the industry to members under the age of 30.
Most recently, Ryan lead the Diversity, Equality & Inclusion action group to further strengthen the commitment to the beam terms of ethics and truly making beam accessible to all.
